SEART är stolt över att presentera Sarah Maria Yasdani senaste arbete ‘Att tala och tänka med fönster’, ett resultat av konstnärens utforskande av ungsgjutet glas under sitt arbetsstipendium hos The Glass Factory. Stipendiet var tilldelat från Emmaboda Kommun och Konstfack, University of Art, Craft and Design. Verket visas i det fantastiska lusthuset, placerad i den mycket centrala, men undangömda Spökparken!

‘Vi har olika fönster runtomkring oss, fönster som alla bär på möjligheten att sträcka ut våra innersta utrymmen. Fönstrets glaskropp är det öga vi upplever välden igenom där rummet är vårt medvetande.
Fönstret bär förmågan att uppehålla oss mitt emellan vår avgångsplats och ankomstplats och tillåter oss uppstå i det mellanrummet. Fönstret blir en förbindelse mellan något inre och något yttre. För oss saman och separerar, ge oss åtkomst och utesluter. Fönstret speglar och synliggör, utelämnar och uppenbarar men gör oss samtidigt förankrade och fristående, närvarande och frånvarande i exakt samma stund.
På så sätt försätter fönstret oss i ett precist tillstånd, i en förtjockad tid. Förtjockning av tiden handlar om en känsla av nu där tiden är sann och upplöst. Allt börjar vid ett fönster, Fönstret som ett tidsdokument, en plats och en övergång. Fönstret som den möjlighet som också bär oss bort från platsen.’

SEART startade i 2012 och presenterar varje år pop up utställningar med konstnärer som arbetar inom ett brett spektrum av material, tekniker och konstnärliga uttryck. Ett initiativ för att stödja och främja unga konstnärer samt öka intresset för den nutida konstscenen.

We are thrilled to introduce Sarah Maria Yasdani's latest work titled ‘To talk and think with a window’. The exhibition represents part of the result of the kiln cast glass research the artist has been working on during her scholarship at The Glass Factory. The scholarship was given to her from Emmaboda Kommun and Konstfack, University of Art, Craft and Design. The exhibition take place at the charming 18th century belvedere in Spökparken right in the middle of the city

‘We have different windows around us, windows that all carry the possibility to expand our intimate spaces. The glass body of the window is the eye we experiencing the world through and the room is our consciousness.
The window carries the ability to hold us in-between our place of departure and our destination, arriving at a place of transition. The window is a liminal connection between inner and outer, the window link and separate, provide access yet exclude. The window reflects and reveals and makes us detached and distant, present and absent in the exact same moment. In this way the window place us in a precise state, a thickened time. The thickening of time is about the feeling of now, where the time is true and dissolved. It all starts at a window. The window as a time document, a location and a transition but also as the opportunity that also carries us away from the place.’
