Stockholm, 3-6 September: For the fouth consecutive year SEART is showing the highlights from the Swedish emerging art scene. The pop-up exhibition takes place at the award winning location of No Picnic in the heart of Stockholm.
15 artists are selected this year to show their works in different medias with striking, thought-provoking outcomes. Some of the pieces are specifically produced for the show.
"With this fourth pop-up exhibition at No Picnic we want to showcase the best young artists in Sweden. We have selected works that trigger us emotionally, and are very proud to welcome the public to experience really interesting, thought-provoking and inspiring art", says designer Margarita Bergfeldt Matiz, one of the founders of SEART
SEART is not a gallery, nor is it a group of curators. SEART is an international initiative, the brainchild of friends, each working in different creative fields.
"Our goal is to keep organizing similar art events in Sweden and abroad, and SEART's raison d'être is to give young artists the possibility to be seen in new contexts and offer an access to today´s most fresh and interesting art to the audience", explains Margarita.
The participating artists at SEART @ NO PICNIC are Johan Berglund, Leontina Gustafsson, Haruna Hirano, Susanna Jablonski, Inez Jönsson, Yuuka Kita, Erika Kristofersson Bredberg, Matilda Kästel, Matilda Lundin, Sara Lundkvist, Ammy Olofsson, Daniel Reinius, Trine Struwe, August Sörenson, Nina Westman.
